During your holidays or during the summer periods, your plants and indoor flowers sometimes suffer from water stress that is manifested by wilting of the leaves. RAINCATCHER is the perfect companion to preserve them from these difficult times. RAINCATCHER is available in 100g ZIP bags or 750g pails to allow you to feed all your indoor plants with the exception of cacti, succulents and orchids. 

RAINCATCHER is not suitable for applications in vases for rootless flowers, except for exceptions.

POTTING

Most of the time, the pots are adapted to the size of the plant or flower. We therefore consider the diameter, height and shape of the pot to establish the dose of RAINCATCHER to apply.

 
Then mix the resulting gel with the potting soil in order to obtain a very homogeneous result (proportion gel / potting in a ratio of 1/5 *). You can now reduce the frequency of your waterings between 2 and 6 times depending on the type of plant and the ambient temperature. Moisten the crystals of RAINCATCHER in a volume of water related: count 10g of RAINCATCHER for 2 liters of water (temperature 35 to 40 ° for 45-60 min) to obtain a saturated gel. In the water, it is possible to add a little liquid fertilizer related to your type of plant.

The beneficial effects of using RAINCATCHER for your houseplants:

• It will stabilize the water supply for your plant and capture the water in excess so avoiding any rotting of the roots.
• It will increase the resistance of plants to stress and infectious diseases.
• It will contribute to a better aeration of the soil thus allowing the roots to be better supplied with oxygen.
• It will retain the nutrients (fertilizer) and return them in time without them disappear under the effect of different waterings.
• It will improve the living conditions of the plant by accelerating its growth, flowering and fruiting.

You can keep the unused gel in a cool place for 1 to 2 months by putting it in a tightly closed container.

WARNING

• Avoid applying RAINCATCHER in the form of crystals by mixing it directly with the soil because during its transformation into a gel under the action of water, the dilated gel can push the plant out of its housing. You can do this when you are used to working with RAINCATCHER or after reading the part “REHYDRATATION”. 
• RAINCATCHER does not increase moisture around a plant if it is placed on the surface of the potting soil without being mixed with it.
• To know when the plant will need to be watered, we must trust the general state of it and not the appearance of the earth because the gel stores water at the roots. During the first uses, it is necessary to define the interval between the last watering and the beginning of the wilting to understand the new frequency of watering under the action of RAINCATCHER.

For example, you water your plant once every 3 days before adding RAINCATCHER, it will be necessary to reduce the frequency of watering to 6 days and if you find that the plant has a healthy appearance by watering at this new frequency, you can reduce again to 9 days etc ...
Remember that the frequency of watering also depends on the time of the year, the temperature inside your home and the exposure of the plant to the sun. 

REHYDRATATION

It is possible to rehydrate a plant already planted using the following method:

• Divide the diameter of your pot by 5: you will then get the number of holes to be made in the ground on the depth of a simple pencil.
• Add 1 g of RAINCATCHER to each hole in the form of crystals using the measuring spoon supplied in the 100 g sachets and the 750 g jars.
• Recap without tamping the holes where you placed the doses of 1 g of RAINCATCHER.
• Water your plant and supplement each hour until the gel appears on the surface. As soon as the gel appears, stop watering and sprinkle soil over the gel: you then know the maximum amount of water needed for your plant that you will provide when you show signs of wilting. 

Example: your Papyrus dries up in its 30 cm diameter pot.

With the above method, you will add 6 g of RAINCATCHER crystals distributed in 6 holes. After 3 hours and 1 liter of watering, the gel appears on the surface: now you know that 1 liter of water is enough to feed your papyrus which you will supply again as soon as its leaves tend to dry out.
Note the new watering frequency later and never change the volume of water supplied.
